Youth and Government 2014 - Another Successful Year at State Conference

At the State Conference for Youth and Government this year Platt had excellent results. Sophia Cory, Olivia Carbone and Nicole Carrozza all had their bills signed into law by the Youth Governor. Wes Schlett, Ahmad Hamdan and Shyam Sheth all had their Constitutional Amendments voted into the Connecticut Youth Constitution. Wes Schlett’s Amendment was voted for the Best Bill Award. Nafiz Mustaqim did an excellent job as Pro Tempore of the Senate. Joe Ludemann was elected as next years Speaker of the House.

Connecticut’s All State Choir Select Two Platt Students

Congratulations to James Brady and Nathan Remillard for performing in Connecticut’s all state choir. Thousands of students try out from districts all over the state and only a fraction of them make the ensembles. It is truly a great feat. Go Panthers!"

Gus Robotics Brings Home Awards

Gus Robotics competed at the Groton District Robotics Competition and won the Engineering Inspiration Award. Also our team mentor/engineer Art Dutra won the Volunteer of the Year Award. Congratulations to Gus Robotics and Mr. Dutra!

Platt English Teacher Chosen to Represent English-Speaking Union in England

Mr. Warner was selected by the English-Speaking Union to travel to England this summer and attend the Teaching Shakespeare Through Performance program.
