National Honor Society Announces New Members

The Platt High School Faculty Council wishes to congratulate the following students who have been selected for membership in the Anna T. Doyle Chapter of National Honor Society. To be selected for membership in NHS, a student must demonstrate excellence in four areas: academics, character, service, and leadership. Platt Golf Wins Their First Conference Title 

Friday, May 12, 2017
On May 12th, the Platt Golf Team beat Middletown 174-186 to win the CCC South-White Division Championship. The Top Golfers were Jacob Doyon (41), Jake Garlock (42), Adrian Janko (44), and Drew Siebert (47). The Golf Team now stands at 10-2 overall (7-0 Conference). Their last match will be May 23rd against cross-town rivals, Maloney.

Platt DECA has done it again!!!

Thank you to all those who helped with our service efforts this fall and winter including all of our honorable DECA members from our staff!!! We have been awarded 6 seats to the Thrive Leadership Academy at the Anaheim Convention Center!! There are over 2,400 DECA members in CT and 45 seats have been awarded thus far. It is quite an accomplishment for our school to have 6 of them.

80th annual CT Drama Association Festival

This weekend, Platt's theatre department participated in the 80th annual CT Drama Association Festival. In addition to seeing performances from the top high school theatre programs in the state, the students were able to perform their own production of Waking Sleeping Beauty: A Fairy's Tale.

Platt Students Participate in Charter Oak Music Festival 

Friday, November 6, 2015
21 Students from Platt High School were selected to perform in the Charter Oak Music Festival this year. The festival is a jazz band, concert band, treble choir and mixed choir made up of students from about a dozen Connecticut High Schools. Each ensemble is directed by a guest conductor with only two days of rehearsal before a performance. Congratulations to all involved for another spectacular concert!
