Quota International of New Haven
Quota International supports people helping people around the world by raising awareness of issues facing the deaf, hard of hearing, and speech-impaired individuals, as well as disadvantaged women and children.Scholarships will be awarded to hearing-impaired students or to students planning a career in service to the hearing impaired. Other worthy candidates would include students interested in careers in the healthcare field, teaching, or work-related fields with the speech and hearing impaired, the mentally challenged, or physically disabled. The deadline for this application is April 17.
Cox Communications' Scholarship Program
This program was established to promote continuing education among high school seniors pursuing careers in communications, telecommunications, technology or engineering fields. This program recognizes seniors who have excelled academically, demonstrated a strong community involvement and expressed a desire to continue their education. Each scholarship awarded will be in the amount of $2,000. The deadline for this application is February 27.
The John R. Shoneck Memorial Scholarship Award
These awards are given annually to graduating high school seniors whose parents derived from, reside or work in the city of Meriden and a descendant or relative of a man or woman who served in the Armed Forces of the United States. Open scholarship awards will be given to graduating high school seniors whose parents derived from, reside or work in the city of Meriden. The deadline for this scholarship is April 1.
2015 Evan Allen Landry Memorial Scholarship
This $5,000 merit based scholarship will be awarded to 2 Meriden high school seniors entering a 4 year college accredited degree program. The essays required are designed to encourage mental illness awareness and to help reduce the stigma associated with it. The deadline for this application is March 2.

UConn Waterbury is offering a number of scholarships for students enrolling at the Waterbury campus, The Scholarship Committee will review applicants based on academic performance, community involvement, and financial need. Amici Della Vigna Scholarship
This is a local community service, Social/Community Organization that strives to help people in need. Their desire is that they serve as a positive example for generations to come. Professional Women in Construction
PWC is offering a scholarship to any student (male or female) enrolled in a study leading to an undergraduate degree in Construction, Construction Management, Architecture, or Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Electrical Engineering. The deadline for this application is March 4.
Middlesex Community College Foundation, Inc.
MxCC is offering 10 scholarships to be awarded this spring to graduating high school seniors who have chosen to attend MxCC in Fall 2015. Awards will go to promising students who choose to attend MxCC, hold an average or above average cumulative GPA, and who have been particularly active participants and citizens in their local communities. The deadline for this application is March 18th.
Dunkin Donuts Scholarship Program
The Dunkin Donuts franchisees of CT invite local high school seniors to apply for one of 50 college scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each, awarded by Dunkin Donuts to eligible applicants in CT. American Savings Foundation Robert T. Kenney Scholarship
Available to students attending a community college, a 4 year college or university, or an accredited vocational program. The scholarship applications are online at www.asfdn.org. The deadline for this application is March 31, 2015.
Kiwanis of Meriden Education Awards
In the spirit of Kiwanis and its mission of Serving the children of the world, Kiwanis Club of Meriden Education Awards annually recognize high school seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to community service and involvement. Also offered is the Ellen Mazza Educational Award which usually goes to a student who wishes to go into the education field. Academic performance and financial need are also taken into consideration. The Cuno Foundation Scholarships
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a high school senior residing in Meriden or vicinity and will be entering a four year college program. Awards are based on financial need, prior academic success, SAT scores, recommendations from teachers and a personal interview. Eligibility requirements and applications are available in the Counseling Office. APPLICATIONS MUST BE FILLED OUT ON THE ORIGINAL CUNO FORMS, WHICH ARE AVAILABLE IN THE COUNSELING OFFICE. CT Nurserymen's Foundation
The applicant for this scholarship must be accepted into a course of study beneficial to the Horticultural industry. This includes, but is not limited to: Ornamental Horticulture, Landscape Design, Nursery Management, Greenhouse Management. The deadline for this scholarship is February 27.
CT Parks Association, Inc.
These scholarship awards are open to applicants who are high school graduating seniors planning to attend an accredited two or four year college and pursue a career in park management, forestry, horticulture, agronomy, or a closely related field. The deadline for this scholarship is April 3.
CT Water Works Association
Preference will be given to applicants who are actively pursuing an approved course of study at an accredited high education institution directly related to environmental science, water resources, public health or the water industry. The deadline for this scholarship is March 16.
Delta Kappa Gamma Society Lambda Chapter
This applicant must rank in the top half of their class, have contributed to the life of the school through a variety of activities, and expressed a desire to pursue a career in education. The deadline for this application is March 27.
Martin Luther King/Albert Owens Scholarship
This scholarship is being offered to graduating seniors who plan on pursuing a college education. Some of the eligibility requirements are: financial need, academic success, self motivation/help, participation in school activities. The deadline for this application is April 13.
The Henry S. Kolakowski Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a student who is planning to further their education by attending a 2 or 4 year college or a vocational training program. This student must demonstrate determination, the desire to succeed and overcome adversity, school improvement and compassion towards others. The deadline for this scholarship is April 1.
New Haven County Retired Teachers Association
Applicants should have a serious desire to pursue a career in teaching. The deadline for this application is April 1.
National Council of Jewish Women, Emma Kohn Podoloff Scholarship
To be considered for this award, students must reside in New Haven County for at least one year, be a Jewish high school senior with a "B" average and be in need of financial assistance. The deadline for this application is May 22.
American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences CT Affiliate
The American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences/CT Affiliate will award a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating CT high school senior who meets their criteria. Information, criteria and applications are available in Naviance as well as in the Scholarship Binder in the Guidance Office. The deadline for this application is March 2, 2015.
The 2015 Student-View Scholarship Program is sponsoring a scholarship contest for high school seniors who plan to attend a four year college, community/junior college or career school. Phi Delta Kappa – CT Chapter, New Haven, CT

Ethnic Minority HS Student Scholarships
The CT Education Foundation is offering the Ethnic Minority Scholarship for students who qualify. Candidates shall be a minority as recognized by the National Foundation for the Improvement of Education (Black; Native-American/Alaskan Native; Asian/Pacific Islander and Hispanic/Latino) More critera and information is available in Naviance as well as the Scholarship Binder in the Counseling Office. This application is due in the Counseling Office by April 17th.
CT Children's Medical Center Isidore Wise Scholarship Program
This scholarship fund was established through a generous bequest from Mr. Isidore Wise and will be awarded to deserving high school students completing their senior year in 2015 and who will be attending an accredited post-secondary undergraduate institution in the fall. Only students who are past or present patients of the Medical Center, Newington Children's Hospital or are current or former students of the CCMC School may apply. The Robert H. Hart Scholarship - Meriden Schools Federal Credit Union
The Robert H. Hart Community Service Award was established by the Meriden Schools Federal Credit Union in honor of Robert H. Hart, teacher, principal, visionary and member of the Board of Directors for 55 years. These awards are granted to a college bound high school senior who demonstrates leadership, scholastic excellence, community involvement and a deep respect and understanding of the principles upon which the credit union was founded; service to others without regard for recognition or reward. These awards are based on the qualities listed above, 2 letters of recommendation, high school transcript, must be an upcoming freshman entering a two or four year college, must be an active member, in good standing, or the credit union, show financial need and academic excellence.This application is due in the Counseling Office by April 16. The Meriden Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist residents of Meriden who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs after high school graduation. Renewable scholarships are offered each year to full time study at an accredited institution of the student's choice. Eligibility requirements: High school seniors residing in the city of Meriden and attending HC Wilcox Technical, Platt HS or Maloney HS planning to enroll in full time undergraduate study at an accredited two or four year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year. Buick Achievers Scholarships
The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program wants to help those who put forth the effort and find success both in and out of the classroom, yet are unable to attend college without financial assistance. The Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund
This award will be made available at the national level during the high school academic year 2014/2015 by the Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund in honor of Janice Marie Scott, who was one of the 125 individuals who perished in the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 when terrorists crashed American Airlines Flight 77 into the building of the Pentagon. This award is based primarily on a "need" basis. Application packets and criteria information are available in the Counseling Office. The deadline for this scholarship is March 17.
The Midstate Chamber of Commerce Educational Awards

* The Chamber's Hispanic Outreach Leaders in action Committee (HOLA) – presents 2 awards for applicants of Hispanic decent.
* The Dan M. Hunter Community Service Education Award – given to a graduating student who shows exemplary grades in the classroom, above average participation in school-related activities, and has proven to be a valued asset to the community in which he/she lives or attends school.
* NEW in 2015 – The Chamber will also be accepting applications for the Bruce H. Kannenbert & Jonal Laboratories, Inc. Education Award. This is a 4 year award for a Meriden resident graduating from a Meriden public school who will be pursuing a degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or Business. Alpha Delta Kappa
Alpha Delta Kappa PSI Chapter, an International Honorary Organization for Women Educators, is seeking applicants interested in pursuing a career in education. USBC – CT State Bowling Association
The CT State USBC Association is seeking applicants for their two academic scholarships. The applicant does not need to be an active bowler. For the first available scholarship, the student, parent or grandparent must be a current member of the CT State USBC Association. For the second scholarship, the student's mother or grandmother must be a current member of the CT State USBC Association. Applications are available in the Counseling Office. The amount of each scholarship is $1,000.This application and documentation is due in the Counseling Office by March 3.
American Association of University Women – Greater Meriden Branch
This organization is offering a $1,500 scholarship to a senior student who meets the following requirements: resides in Meriden, ranks in the top 20% of the graduation class, plans to attend a four-year college and exhibits financial need. Applications are available in the Counseling Office. The deadline for this scholarship is February 24, 2015.
Ride-4-Justin – Justin Wisniewski Firefighters' Scholarship Fund
Justin Wisniewski, an 18 year old volunteer firefighter from Southington, died in the Line of Duty during a training session at the Wolcott Training Center April 3, 20115. To honor Justin's memory, his family, along with the Southington Fire Department, Company 1, has established this fund. The scholarship is based totally on volunteerism, and the scholarships are given to firefighters, spouse, child or sibling of a firefighter. Ray LaMay Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior student who attends Maloney or Platt. Applicants must be accepted at an accredited University, College, Community College or Technical School. It is based on an essay "How has your life changed since someone special to you has been affected by cancer?", activeness in the school community and financial need. Daughters of the American Revolution - DAR
This Daughters of the American Revolution scholarship is available to any boy or girl, providing he/she is in the upper 25% of their senior class. The scholarships are awarded on a basis of scholastic ability, character, leadership potential and financial need. The DAR application is due in the Guidance Office by April 17, 2015. MARC, INC The Meriden Amateur Radio Club will award this scholarship to a student interested in pursuing an education in the field of communications, electronics and/or related fields. Preference will be given to anyone with a license in amateur radio or a relative of the club. The deadline for this application is April 17, 2015.

CASIA CT Alarm & Systems Integrators Association
– each eligible student must have a father, mother or natural guardian who is a full time paid employee (not on disability or retired) of the Connecticut Police or Fire Communities. Volunteer fire departments are recognized. However, students who are volunteers themselves, but not the child of a firefighter, are not eligible. The deadline for this application is February 13, 2015.

The Princeton Prize in Race Relations recognizes high school students who are helping improve race relations in their schools or communities. Apply online at: www.princeton.edu/pprize. The Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity

Hood Sportsmanship Scholarship
Hood Inc. is looking for high school seniors who participated in a varsity sport and who will be furthering their education by attending a two or four year accredited college or university next year. James L. and Genevieve H. Goodwin Memorial Scholarship
