Sandy Hook Promise SAVE/Promise Club

Hello, Panthers!

At the start of this school year, our Student Voice & Action Club officially became our Sandy Hook Promise SAVE/Promise Club!  This club will be hosting our Sandy Hook Promise Call-to-Action Weeks that Platt has participated in the past.  Last Tuesday, our Student Ambassadors, teachers, and admin met to plan a great week and we hope you, too, will join us in the first Call-to-Action Week of the year: Start with "Hello" Week!

Throughout the week, we'll be asking students and teachers to participate in simple actions to help build our school community and encourage kindness and positivity.  Our goal is to end social isolation, bullying, and violence in our school by starting with a simple "Hello!"

We hope you'll challenge students to participate in our Twitter competitions, outlined in the attachment, and to submit entries into the Sandy Hook Promise Student Voices competition (link here: https://www.sandyhookpromise.org/studentcontest) where students can win cash prizes using a variety of artistic outlets including essays, videos, paintings, etc.  More information will be shared about each day in the daily announcements!

If you'd like to learn more about the program, feel free to reach out or visit this link: https://www.sandyhookpromise.org/startwithhelloweek

We're always looking to build our club, and we hope you'll join us at our next meeting at the end of October!  Please feel free to reach out if you'd like to participate!  See Ms. Volo, Mr. Blythe or Mr. Montemurro
