Project Excel Undergraduate Award

Project Excel is a program sponsored by the Meriden Federation of Teachers. Students are nominated by the faculty and staff and then selected by a school based  committee. U.S. Savings bonds are awarded to students in grades 9-11 based on:

  • Strong Character                                                          

  • Cooperative attitude                                                   

  • Consistent effort                                                          

  • Conscientious work ethic

The O. H. Platt High School community believes all students deserve a learning environment in which to achieve their full academic, civic, and social potential. Students must have a physically and emotionally safe, disciplined atmosphere in which they are motivated to set goals, make responsible decisions, and enjoy success. Our multicultural society develops independent, creative, resilient learners and thinkers.
