Scholarship Opportunities For Seniors

Attention Seniors! Please read the Guidance News bulletin board in the main hallway to see what scholarships are available. The bulletin board is updated every time a new scholarship is posted. If you find a scholarship you wish to apply for, see Mrs. Bruce in the Guidance Office for an application or additional information. Every week the link on the left handside of the page is updated.

New Student Email System

Platt High School students now have their own student gmail account. To find out more about the new email system click here. Also available is the Google Apps FAQ pdf file. The login link can be found on the left hand side of the main page under the Power School link.

Attention Seniors:

All Seniors should visit the guidance office for information on College and Technical School visits. It is your responsiblity to sign up for these visits. Please remember that you need twenty hours of community service to graduate.

Gus Robotics

Gus Robotics is looking for NEW students to join - meetings are on Mondays and Wednesdays at Maloney High School in the woodshop from 6:30-9:00pm. Please check our website for more information: ww.team228.org. All students are invited to join Gus Robotics.

Community Service is a Graduation Requirement

Mr. Flynn Receives Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award.

On Monday, Commissioner of Education Mark McQuillan and Milken Foundation Jane Foley awarded Mr. James Flynn the Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award. FYI: For Your Information

Medical Physicals Required for 9th graders

All 9th graders are required to have a physical before entering the 10th grade. The physical must be dated from May 1st, 2009 or after. If this physical is not handed in to the nurse by the end of the school year students will not be able to enter school on the first day of 10th grade.

Career Cruising - Online Exploration and Planning Tool ; Check it out!

Platt and Maloney have purchased Career Cruising to use as the primary career exploration and planning tool in guidance and the career center. Career Cruising is an internet based career exploration and planning tool used by students to explore career and college options and develop a career plan.
