ECE Environmental Science Course

The PHS Science Department began offering an ECE (Early College Experience) Environmental Science Course during the 2012-13 school year taught by Ms. LeClair. This course will earn college credit. Topics of the course will include air pollution, water pollution, water usage rights, solid waste disposal and trash to energy. The course also requires students to participate in laboratory and field investigation activities such as collecting and analyzing water samples, conducting long-term studies of some local system or environmental problem such as pollution from a nearby stream, analyze a real data set, and visit a local public facility such as a water-treatment plant. This is an exciting and growing field of science. Stop by and see Ms. LeClair or Mr. McMinn for a flyer.
